Orange City Turkey Trot’s purpose is to mark the Thanksgiving Holiday with joyful community through a 5K fun run / walk.

​

While we offer a true 5K course and keep runner times, the emphasis is on a fun experience for all ages that will raise awareness and resources for mission. 

​

The 2023 event had 186 registrants and many sponsors. They helped raise nearly $6000 to be split between Whispers Hope, Love, Joy and Trinity Youth Ministries.

​

The 2022 ministry partner with Trinity Youth Missions is Bethasda Christian Counseling. We were able to raise over $4000 to be split between ministries and had over 150 participants.

 

The 2021 ministry partners were Young Life and Trinity Youth Missions. We were able to raise nearly $5000 due to the generosity of our sponsors and entrants.

The 2020 ministry partners were All Kids Can Orange City and Trinity Youth Missions.  With the help of the runners, walkers and especially our sponsors we were able to raise $4800 to split between the ministries.

 

The 2019 mission partners were My Choice Middle School Ministry and Trinity Youth Missions.  With the help of the runners, walkers and especially our sponsors we were able to raise $4600 to split between the ministries.

The 2018 mission partners are Hunger Free Kids of Sioux County and Trinity Youth Missions. Founded with the goal of helping fund Sack Pack programs in Sioux County and hopes of growing to help assist food pantries through the country, Hunger Free Kids of Sioux County has made significant strides in helping our area community.  The race raised nearly $5000 to split between our two ministry partners.

 

The 2017 missions were Bethany Christian Services of Orange City and Trinity Youth Missions. Also in 2017, we partnered with local businesses as sponsors in the hopes to raise more funds for our mission partners.

 

The 2015 mission partner was ATLAS of Orange City. The race was cancelled the morning of due to ice, but nearly $1000 was raised that year.

 

In 2014, the Bride was the mission partner with 119 participants and over $1,500 was raised!

 

The 2013 focus was the Orange City Food Pantry.  Thanks to the 168 participants, $2,000 was raised to alleviate hunger in our community.
